Change in the Indian T20 squad
New Delhi: A change has taken place in the Indian team participating in the T20 World Cup. Akshar Patel has been replaced by pace bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur in the 15 – man squad announced earlier. The World Cup will take place from the 17th of this month. Friday is the deadline for changes in the respective teams in this regard. Shardul, who is playing for Chennai in the IPL, is giving an impressive performance. Pace all-rounder Hardik Pandya has not bowled in the IPL due to fitness issues. Credible sources said the team management has sought a player to replace him. Akshar will be the backbone of Jadeja. Meanwhile, Bangalore pacer Hershel Patel, along with Avesh Khan, Umran Malik, Venkatesh Iyer, Karn Sharma, Lakman Marywala, Shahbaz Ahmed and Krishnappa Gautam will join the team to help Team India practice.
