The central government has given good news to the Telangana government. The Center has sanctioned over Rs 300 crore under the Swadesh Darshan and Prasad schemes for the development of infrastructure for tourism development in Telangana. Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy said this in response to a letter written by BJP Telangana president and Karimnagar MP Sanjay Kumar.
91.62 crore for the eco circuit in Mahabubnagar district in 2015-16, Rs. 79.87 crore in 2016-17 for the development work to be undertaken under the tribal circuit connecting Mulugu-Lucknow-Medaram-Thadwai-Damaravi-Mallur-Bogata Falls and over Qutub Shahi Heritage Park. The letter said that Rs 96.90 crore has been sanctioned in 2017-18 for development works to be undertaken under the Heritage Circuit connecting the Hayat Bakshi Musk-Raymonds tombs. Under the Prasad scheme, Rs 36.73 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Jogulamba Devi Ammavari Temple in Alampur in 2020-21. The Union Minister said in the letter that the Union government was ready to allocate more funds for tourism development in the state and if the state government sent appropriate proposals following the central guidelines, they would review them and take a decision.
