Islamabad: Former Aussie batsman Matthew Hayden and former South African bowler Vernon Philander have been appointed as Pakistan coaches. This was announced by the new chairman of the PCB, Rameez Raja. Recently, Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis resigned due to personal reasons.
The PCB has appointed former cricketers Saqlain Mustaq and Abdul Razak as interim coaches ahead of the Pakistan-New Zealand series starting on the 17th of this month. Speaking on the occasion, Rameez Raja said that it was his responsibility as the Chairman of the Board to appoint the best coaches for the team.
