Jagan Mohan Reddy writes to PM Narendra Modi: Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his letter, the Chief Minister asked for the provision of infrastructure in the Greenfield colonies. Explaining the steps being taken by the government for the construction of houses in the letter, CM Jagan told the Prime Minister that the AP has set a target of 30 lakh houses in AP. Jaganmohan Reddy said the ‘Home for the Poor-PMAY’ scheme would contribute to sustainable development. The housing program for all being implemented in the state was explained in a letter to the Prime Minister. In his letter, CM Jagan said that Prime Minister Modi’s determination to complete the ‘Home for All Poor-PMAY’ scheme by 2022 was great. To this extent ..
“The AP government has distributed 68,381 acres of land to the poor. In 17,005 Greenfield colonies, 30.76 lakh people have been given housing titles. It has been decided to construct 28.35 lakh pakkails in these colonies. We are spending Rs 50,944 crore for the construction of these houses. Infrastructure should be provided to all the poor as part of the House-PMAY. This will require Rs 34,104 crore. We have already spent Rs 23,535 crore on house rails and housing. Spending such an amount would be a burden to the state. The state should be supportive in the creation of infrastructure, ‘said CM YS Jagan.
Similarly, CM YS Jagan urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take these factors into consideration and direct the Union Urban and Rural Development Departments to provide ample funding to the AP under the PMAY. Meanwhile, it is learned that on the 3rd of this month, CM YS Jagan started virtual construction work on houses in AP Jagannath Colonies across the AP from his camp office in Thadepalli. The government has set a record by distributing house titles in the name of 30.76 lakh sisters at once in the state in a manner unprecedented in the history of the country. As part of this, we are starting the construction of 15,60,227 houses in the first phase at a cost of Rs 28,084 crore, the CM said.
Andhra Pradesh is spending Rs 33,000 crore on infrastructure in the YSR-Jagannath colonies under construction across the state. Meanwhile, the government has already directed the district collectors to work in coordination with the officials of all the departments to set up Jagannath colonies with all facilities. DPRs are being prepared for the construction of sand, stones, cement, bricks, power supply, underground drainage and water supply for the poor.
The government has directed the concerned authorities to provide comprehensive details of each layout. Housing Construction The first phase of construction of houses should be completed by December and all the necessary infrastructure should be expedited. Authorities have been directed to play an active role in beautifying the internal roads, electricity, drinking water, Anganwadi Centers, underground drainage and all other infrastructure in the Jagannath Colony. Today, Jagan wrote a letter to the Prime Minister asking him to provide funds for the construction work.
