The Khairatabad Ganesh Festival Committee has taken a key decision. It has been decided to immerse the idol of Vinayaka in the mandapam from next year. Decided to erect a clay statue in favor of immersion wherever possible. It is known that Vinayaka is immersed in the Hussain Sagar every year. However, the High Court denied permission for the immersion in the Hussain Sagar this year. The committee has decided to immerse oneself in the Vinayaka Mandapam from next year.
The GHMC had filed a review petition in the High Court seeking permission to immerse the PVOP idols in the Hussain Sagar for one year. It is learned that the High Court had rejected it. The Telangana government has challenged the High Court decision in the Supreme Court. The trial is set to begin on Wednesday (September 14) morning.
The High Court was outraged by the petition filed by GHMC. Nowhere in the Puranas is it stated that the idols of the gods should be immersed in the Hussain Sagar itself. The GHMC Act itself seeks to prevent water pollution. It has been 66 years since this law came into force. Yet pollution is still being promoted in the name of immersion of idols. The Hussain Sagar is already polluted. ‘ The High Court was incensed.
The High Court questioned the government as to whether it should allow pollution in sight. If Hussain decides not to immerse himself in the Sagar before Vinayaka Chavati .. why not make arrangements accordingly. Tira said that there is no time now .. There is a corona and there is no reason to ask to understand the sentiments of the devotees. Recall that Section 522 of the GHMC 1955 Act states that chemical substances must not be added to water. Even after all these years, the law was not enforced. In the name of beautification, various works were carried out on the tank bunds every year … The government was outraged at the destruction of them during the immersion of Vinayaka. Questioned how many times the public would be wasted like this.
The government was in a dilemma with the High Court verdict. As no alternative arrangements have been made for immersion so far .. it is not known how to immerse the thousands of Ganapayas established in the city. The GHMC told the high court that there were not enough puddles within the city limits and that the city would be paralyzed if the high court did not grant an exception. Ruled that he could go to the Supreme Court if he did not like it. It remains to be seen what action the authority will take if the government is spotted in the Supreme Court as well.
The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee has taken a key decision. It has been decided to immerse the idol of Vinayaka in the mandapam only, from next year.
