A spokesman for the National Investigation Agency said they were arrested during raids in Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian districts on Tuesday. The NIA said the suspects were accomplices of terrorists, working as ground workers (OGWs) for various banned terrorist organizations and were involved in terrorist activities. . It was revealed that the NIA is currently conducting investigations into the conspiracy to carry out attacks in other major cities including Jammu and Kashmir and New Delhi.

Terrorist ground workers belonging to these organizations are said to be conspiring with their handlers and commanders in their neighboring country. Local youths are being used for recruitment and training in the management of weapons and explosives. It has been revealed that many innocent civilians, security personnel are being killed and attempts are being made to create unrest in the Kashmir Valley, in the wake of which the NIA investigation is ongoing.
