India with over 3 lakh 60 thousand new corona cases
There were 3,60,960 new corona cases reported in India in 24 hours. This brings the total number of corona cases in India to 17.99 million. There have been 3,293 deaths due to corona in the last 24 hours. The death toll from the epidemic has crossed the 2,00,000 mark. India, which ranks second after the United States in total Kovid-19 cases, faces a lack of health infrastructure. Has been registering 300,000 new corona cases per day for the past week.
Corona active cases approaching 30 lakhs, deaths exceeding 2 lakhs
Currently there are 29,78,709 corona active cases in India. That is close to 30 lakhs. This is 16.34% of the total confirmed cases. This is the seventh day in a row that over three lakh cases have been registered in India. The country’s total death toll stands at 2,01,187, including today’s record-breaking death toll from daily deaths. Maharashtra, the worst-hit state by the corona epidemic, recorded 895 new Kovid deaths on Tuesday.
The number of active cases has increased by 255 per cent in Kerala and close to one lakh in Delhi
After Maharashtra, corona cases have been reported so far in Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi. Kerala, which reported India’s first coronavirus case last January, registered 30,000 new corona cases for the first time yesterday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the number of active cases in the state of Kerala has increased by 255 per cent in the last two weeks. In the last 24 hours, 381 people have died due to Kovid in Delhi. This is the highest number of deaths recorded in a single day in the capital so far. There are 24,149 new cases in Delhi .The number of active cases is over 98,000. The positivity rate was 32.72 percent.
