Charity: The corona epidemic is breaking out. Many patients are struggling to find medication, oxygen, and beds in hospitals. At a time like this, some of us are helping others with what we have. Also Mohan Kulkarni, a retired old man, spent his pension to buy ventilators for a local hospital. In addition to the Rs 4 lakh he received from his pension, he took an additional loan of Rs 2.5 lakh to buy all the important medical equipment.
Kovid-19 cases have suddenly increased in the Ambernath area. Kulkarni, a 65-year-old former employee working in the private sector, came forward to help corona patients. The civil hospital there is running out of the necessary equipment. In fact, a doctor named Dr. Prashant Rasal at a local civil hospital had already requested the industrialists and others to help in this situation.
First, Kulkarni wanted to give ambulances to the hospital. “When I found out that the civic body had enough ambulances and they needed extra ventilators, I took an extra Rs 2.5 lakh and bought a ventilator,” he told the media. “I believe my efforts can save lives,” he said.
After losing his wife to cancer, he wanted to donate some money to a local hospital. However, given the current situation, he felt that there was no better time than now to do great work.
He is not the only one who has contributed so much here. About 850 employees in civic bodies decided to use their daily salary to buy 5 bi-pop machines for the hospital. When needed, many people keep coming forward to offer their help. For that they make big sacrifices at once. Mohan Kulkarni is one such person.
