AMRAVATI: The State Election Commission, which has released the Gram Panchayat Election Schedule, has issued key instructions to the employees participating in the proceedings. The Andhra Pradesh government has advised employees to take precautions in the wake of the corona outbreak.
The Election Commission has clarified that sanitaryizers and masks should be supplied as in other states. Corona vaccination was recommended for staff along with frontline warriors. Asked to give preference to election staff in vaccination.
If this is the case, then the employees are reluctant to perform their duties while arranging for the holding of panchayat elections. APNGVO president Chandrasekhar Reddy expressed concern that the panchayat election notification was likely to intimidate employees.
He warned that the election process would be boycotted in protest of the SEC’s stance. Moreover, they demanded that the election notification be withdrawn immediately. Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who has laid off five lakh employees, said employees were panicking over his behavior.

Trade union leaders are questioning how elections can be conducted without considering the views of employees and the government. They demanded that they not cooperate with the Electoral Commission and hold elections once the vaccination process was complete.
It is learned that the AP SEC announced the schedule of panchayat elections in the state on Friday night. Panchayat elections will be held in four phases between January 23 and February 17. State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar gave the proceedings to this effect. It was clarified that the code of conduct for elections in the state would come into force from Saturday as per the directions of the Supreme Court.
