Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who has laid off five lakh employees, said employees were panicking over his behavior.

We are boycotting the elections. He said he could not attend election functions and would go to court if necessary. Trade union leaders are questioning how elections can be conducted without considering the views of employees and the government. They demanded that they not cooperate with the Electoral Commission and hold elections once the vaccination process was complete.

It is learned that the AP SEC announced the schedule of panchayat elections in the state on Friday night. Panchayat elections will be held in four phases between January 23 and February 17.
