New Farm Laws Explanation

On June 15, 2020, the Center introduced an ordinance on agricultural law. The Lok Sabha approved the bills on September 17, 2020. The bills were passed by the Rajya Sabha on September 20, 2020. Approved by the President on September 27, 2020. Farmers across the country are outraged by these cultivation laws. Farmers’ protests began on November 26, 2020. More than 40 farmer associations were involved in the agitation. On December 8, Bharat called for a bandh and succeeded. Farmers observed December 20 as Martyrs’ Remembrance Day. Riley began his hunger strike on December 23. January 26 will be memorable for all of you. A tractor rally was held near Red Fort. Led to over-tension. This is an event where the international media focuses entirely on India. Although there were 11 rounds of talks between the farmers and the government from October 2020 to January 2021 last year, they were not successful. >> Removal of grain, oilseeds, onions, potatoes from the list of essential commodities
>> The screen for the monopoly of big companies that inflate prices at will
>> Opportunity to attract foreign direct investment
>> Thereby creating a competitive environment and the possibility of modernizing the supply chain
>> Design of modern facilities for colt storages and agricultural products

Bill 3: Trade in Agricultural Products, Commerce (Promotion, Facilitation) Bill -2020
>> Freedom for farmers-private traders for sales-purchases of products
>> Farmers can sell crop products to anyone of their choice
>> No need to pay fees for market yards
>> No need to rely on government for minimum support price
>> Price control is in the hands of farmers-private traders
>> Private traders come to the farmer and buy
>> No marketing / shipping costs, no hassles
>> Facilitate international trade
