In a recent media interaction, legendary lyricist Vairamuthu who has written numerous songs for Superstar and who is also a close friend of Rajinikanth had called “Kabali” a failure. But after facing the wrath of numerous fans, he had to clarify a few things to the fans.
In his official press statement he clarifies that he missed out a word as he went in the flow, which eventually led to so much of anger. The line that created all the controversy was when Vairamuthu said “though Kabali’s failure can’t be accepted, it needs to be understood“. He says that during the speech he had mistakenly missed out an important word ‘success‘ before the word ‘failure‘ in an emotional flow of words. Missing out the word ‘success’ in his speech was the cause for the controversy, says Vairamuthu. He also adds that he spoke to Rajinikanth once he arrived in Chennai and clarified about the issue. Meanwhile Kabali is reportedly said to have smashed all the records in India and said to have grossed more than 200 crores worldwide.
