Kidaari Movie review
Village based story is plethora in kollywood, but any few films attains laurel from audiences, Sasikumar has heaping gimmicks to enthrall audiences through his rustic outing. Songs and trailer of Kidaari has received very good reception which induced fantastic pre-release buzz. Sasi’s previous rural drama Vetrival has showcased more family sentiment and less of action. But it is vice-versa in Kidaari which has more action and less of sentiment.
The kingpin of a particular village locality was been brutality attacked by a stalker, and how his Aide (sasikumar) unravel the problem is the remaining story. The entire plot has pure rural flavour packed with more Action sequences.
The venture kick-starts in decent fashion with good intro sequences, the entire firsthalf showcases usual revenge saga and main core plot takes more time to establish. Sasikumar carries the movie well by his innate performance, his ladylove NikhilaVimal has very less scope to score but her picturesque acting is cute. The interval block was shot in usual typical fashion which sets the stage for second half.
Though the first half had same old template of revenge plot, flashback sequences in second half were quite engaging which is packed with good twist. The accomplished veteran actor Napoleon’s cameo performance was intense which evokes Curiosity among audiences. This rural action entertainer ends up with a picturesque climax where Sasikumar’s performance acts as driving force.
Velu ramamurthy has essayed a menacing character with ease like his erstwhile venture Sethupathi. His acting was quite impressive which had both positive and negative shades. Diva Suja Varunee had less scope but her dialogue delivery was neat. Other supporting artist have portrayed a decent job.
Darbuka Siva is the kingpin of this venture whose Background score elavates the scene well, his work didn’t seems like his debut project. DOP Kathir had done entralling depiction of the rural locality. Praveen’s cuts were decent and Innate performances of three veteran stars (Sasikumar, Napoleon, Velu ramamurthy) acted as driving force. Less intense first half and supporting artist had very less scope which were the downside of the flick.
Verdict- Watchable Revenge saga which has less intense First half and gripping second half.
