Bogan Movie review
The Romeo Juliet team is back again with Bogan which is a full fledged action entertainer starring Jayamravi and Hansika in the main lead. After Thanioruvan, Jayamravi was seen in cop avatar which added good expectation since from the nascent stage of Bogan.
The supporting casts includes Arvind Swamy, Varun, Akshara, Nasser, Ponvannan and few renowned artists. Imman’s groovy tracks have injected subtle pre release buzz, especially Senthoora have went on to become viral in all social media platform. Both hero and villain have portrayed positive and negative shaded persona and this tidbits was something new to the tamil audiences and it was quite refreshing one. Lets see the detailed fulcrum of the movie. The intellectual cop nabs a criminal for bank robbery case but the miscreant remains cool and uses his quirky tactics to get rid of this issue. At last, the baddie is been published or not is the rest of the storyline.
The First half moves in a regular template packed with action blocks and small dose of romance amidst Jayamravi and Hansika. The introduction of Arvind swamy induces acceleration to the plot and cool attitude of Arvind evokes curiocity. The party song in the mid way are to be trimmed which slows down the flow of the movie. The clever gimmicks of jayamravi in trapping the baddie were depicted in engaging fashion. The astonishing sequences in the intermission sets stage for the further proceedings.
The later part of the venture starts with a racquet cum love track which is seems to be unnecessary inclusion in the narration. Which is been followed by gripping execution where tussle among the protagonist and baddie changes the course of the movie and adds grippness. The multiple facets of Arvind Swamy and Jayamravi keeps the viewers glued to their seats, the full credits goes to the auteur Lakshman for presenting intense role to both the lead artist. The climax were convincing and provides glimpse for the second part of Bogan. Loopholes are there, but on the whole it is a decent outing .
The lead cast such as Jayamravi and Arvind swamy have done a noteworthy performances with ease. But the rest of the supporting artists are seen in less meaty characters which was disappointing. The positive aspects are the intense characterisation to both hero and villain, the inclusion of historical touches gives us engagement. The downside are the less gripping sequences in the first half and unnecessary addition of songs were seen in the movie. The party song featuring Arvind swamy is to be trimmed and love track in second half is to be removed for engagement.
Verdict: A subtle action thriller which has mediocre first half and quite engaging second half.
