One of the promising filmmaker in kollywood who helms hard hitting flicks is back with another feel good project ‘Aandavan Kattalai’ starring Makkal selvan Vijaysethupathi, Iruthi Sutru diva Ritika Singh in leading roles. Auteur’s second outing Kuttrame Thandanai showcased murder mystery but his third venture reveals the aftermath of fake passport issue in intriguing fashion. Lets see the details features of this flick.
The middle class rustic younger was keen in migration to foreign country to return his heaping debt and he approaches illegal agency who creates fake passport, whether the protagonist is migrated or not is the remaining story plot.
The movie kickstarts in a enthralling and realistic fashion packed with comical sequences especially Yogi babu played a prominent role whose expressions were pleasing and injects continuous laugh. One more meaty character played by most happening artist Vijay Sethupathi whose innate performance carries the plot well and he suited well to the role, he have done full justice to this role with ease. The whole first half showcased in light hearted fashion and pre interval scenes were quite losing acceleration and ends with decent interval block.
The movie gains momentum in second half where lead characters Vijaysethupathi and RitikaSingh had huge onus to drive the plot and they have delivered it with pleasing fashion. The pre climax sequences were canned in intriguing manner packed with engaging elements. The realistic and hard-hitting message towards the end gives a satisfying feel to the audiences. The most happening crime have been picturised and depicted in enthralling way.
Apart from intense show from lead characters, supporting artist too have done a solid show especially Yogi babu, Singam puli, Nasser, Vela ramamoorthy. Special cameo by Ramesh thilak was good. The main kingpin of this venture is Vijaysethupathi whose innate performance garners laurel.
The positive ingredients are the natural act from entire cast, auteur have refrained commercial elements which was picturesque. The strong message towards the end is the fulcrum and highlight of this flick. The plot were well executed by entire technical crew including composer K, Editor Anucharan and cinematographer Shanmuga sundaram.
The downside are the less intense sequences in the pre interval block, veteran artist Nasser didn’t had meaty role, and less scope of second female lead Pooja devariya.
The mediocre portions which comes towards the interval must be refrained to enhance the plot.
Verdict- Feel good and enchanting crime drama packed with strong message. A good watch for this weekend!
